Bronwyn Edwards CryerSinger-songwriter and pianist Bronwyn Edwards Cryer was born in Sydney, Australia. She now resides in Seattle, Washington with her husband Randy and daughter Kendall. "Some of us find our direction later in life... Late Bloomer was released in 2004 as I dipped my toes into the giant pond of the music industry. It was a sampler CD, because I hadn't found my personal musical direction and was writing songs in most genres, because I'm kind of eclectic anyway... classical piano training, a jazz wannabe, soulfully bluesy, and crazy for a cappella vocal harmonies." I asked my vocalist friends who shone in a variety of genres to come into the studio and sing my songs for me... (yes, I even managed to sing a couple of them myself -- the songs about my husband and daughter, of course!) 2005 brought an opportunity for my first live show, and we brought the house down at ArtsWest Theater and Gallery in West Seattle -- (thanks to my wonderful band, and the amazing talents of my dear friends, vocalists Josephine Howell and Tam Katzin). The concert was a sell-out and we filmed and recorded it - thanks to the wizardry of Mark Miller from Kalara Studios. Mark specializes in recording live shows and he did an awesome job with the soundtrack of "The Red Piano Show." The DVD is now complete. "She Loves the Rain" is the new CD's title. Mark and I continued on with the project after The Red Piano show, and it just kind of evolved. I hadn't planned on doing another CD so soon, but I believe I have found my musical genre in a kind of bluesy folksy pop, and have rediscovered my love of playing guitar, as well as the piano. Many of the tracks feature both instruments, and additional instrumentation is minimal -- a little bass from my dear friend Boomer (Gary Sparling) and some terrific percussion work from "JC" Johnny Conga. "She Loves the Rain" is now available online at www.CDBaby.com/becryer2. "Late Bloomer" is also available online at www.CDBaby.com/becryer.
