Born out of my body she took us all by surprise
Almost a month early she came quickly without warning

Five years on the journey I became a Soccer Mom
Heart beat stopping short every time she took a dive
Ten years on the sidelines I've been cheering her on
Watched her, so triumphant, score that winning goal so many times

I love her strength
Love to watch her as she grows

This morning as we backed out from the driveway
To head for school, I heard my baby say
